Biography of Andrea E. Seyka, CEO:

Andrea-E-Seyka-CEO-for-STVCCAndrea was born and grew up in Lansing, Michigan. While Andrea was a high school student of Sexton High School, her father was Deputy Chief of the Lansing Police. Growing up, importance of family and community were principles very close to Andrea’s heart.

As an adult, Andrea went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Michigan State University. In 1990 she was certified as a public accountant and went on to work as a public accountant for KPMG Peat Marwick, a CPA firm. After four years Andrea took the position as Director of Internal Audit for Jackson National Life. Soon after she took the position as their Senior Financial Operations Manger .

In 1996 Andrea interviewed for the position of Director of Accounting with Don Ballentine, the then President and CEO for St. Vincent Catholic Charities (STVCC). As a working mother with two young sons Andrea was impressed by the family values held by the administration of St. Vincent Catholic Charities. It was important to Andrea to find an environment where her employer supported and respected the balance of having a family life and a career.

Andrea accepted the position of Director of Accounting for STVCC and soon after advanced to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In 2006 she took on the additional responsibility of Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Today, Andrea has been married twenty years to her high school sweetheart. Together they live in Dimondale with their two sons, ages sixteen and thirteen, and their beloved golden retriever. Andrea and her Husband are active supporters in their children’s sports lives. Together, the family enjoys golfing and camping in Tawas Michigan and Andrea is an avid walker.

With her close attention to details, mind for financial responsibility and belief in strengthening families, Andrea Seyka has proven herself a strong and loyal advocate for the services provided through St. Vincent Catholic Charities.
