A 2012 Christmas Message from STVCC CEO

Dear Friends,

'Tis the season for joy and love.  Christmas has always held a special place in my heart and if you are anything like me, you have already started hanging decorations, singing Christmas Carols, and buying gifts for friends and family.  There is no doubt that Christmas is a busy time for all of us.  But as you enjoy the holidays, I pray that you remember the true meaning of the season.

Christmas is an opportunity to behold the miraculous difference one gift can make.  When Jesus Christ was born into this world, God blessed us with a gift of love that keeps on giving.  We did nothing to deserve such an amazing gift, yet he gave it to us anyway.  How can we ever say thank you?  The truth is, we can show our appreciation through how we love and care for one another.  Romans 13:8 says, "Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law." 

This holiday season St. Vincent Catholic Charities is continuing to provide shelter to the chronically homeless, strengthen families, and renew hope in the hearts and minds of abused and neglected children here in our community.  Our work is centered on spreading the gift of God's love, and I truly thank you for your continued support of our mission.  It is because of your generosity that those we serve will feel joy and love this holiday season.  Thank you for your support!
